Apprenticeships at Entech
A pathway into advanced manufacturing — and a long-term career
An apprenticeship at Entech is not just a job on the factory floor. It’s a pathway into advanced manufacturing, where you learn how products are built, tested, improved and scaled — and develop skills that form the foundation of a stable, long-term career.
Founded in Australia in 1986, Entech is an Australian-owned electronics manufacturing company with global operations in Australia, Malaysia and China. We support customers across industrial, medical, energy and technology sectors, working closely with engineering, quality and supply-chain teams locally and internationally.
Manufacturing at Entech: a career, not just a job
Modern manufacturing is highly skilled and technology-driven.
At Entech, apprentices learn how complex electronics products are built using structured processes, quality systems, testing and problem-solving — skills that remain relevant and valuable for decades.
Many of our apprentices have grown into senior technical, leadership and management roles within the business. It’s common at Entech for people to build long careers with us, developing deep expertise and taking on greater responsibility over time.
Who this program is for
Our Australian apprenticeship program is suited to people who are looking for a practical, respected alternative to university, including:
- School leavers exploring hands-on career pathways
- Students interested in engineering, technology or problem-solving
- People seeking a stable, long-term career
- Career starters who want skills that transfer across industries
You don’t need prior manufacturing experience. What matters most is curiosity, reliability and a willingness to learn.
What you’ll learn
As an apprentice at Entech Australia, you’ll gain practical experience across:
- Electronics manufacturing and assembly (PCBA and box build)
- Quality systems, documentation and compliance
- Testing, fault-finding and continuous improvement
- How products move from design into repeatable production
- Working within disciplined, professional manufacturing environments
These are skills used across advanced manufacturing, engineering and technology sectors worldwide.
Real responsibility, global exposure
From early on, apprentices work on live customer products alongside engineers, production leaders and quality teams.
You’ll be trusted with real responsibility, supported by experienced mentors, and encouraged to understand the why behind every process — not just how tasks are done.
While based in Australia, you’ll also collaborate with international teams across Entech’s global operations, gaining exposure to global standards, systems and ways of working.
Support, mentorship and long-term growth
We invest in our people for the long term. As an apprentice at Entech, you’ll receive:
- Structured on-the-job training and mentoring
- Clear learning pathways and regular feedback
- A culture that encourages questions and continuous improvement
- Opportunities to progress into technical, leadership or management roles
At Entech, apprentices are developed as future professionals, not short-term labour.
