Ellume, a Brisbane-based digital diagnostic solutions provider, needed to scale its production of its range of COVID Antigen Tests to meet the global demand for its products.

Approach

Entech organised regular project meetings during the lockdown restrictions to optimise Ellume’s eStick manufacturing and test process using virtual meeting platforms to qualify equipment and processes.

Outcomes

  • The partnership with Entech allowed Ellume to produce eStick in large volumes.
  • Production of eStick was made possible in Australia at a cost comparable to any other offshore manufacturer.
  • The new automation capabilities at Entech’s Adelaide’s plant supports sovereign capabilities and it can be used for other mission critical or medical device production.
  • The equipment upgrades further allowed Entech to use these new capabilities to carry out mass production of other IoT or medical devices projects.
